The ABA Judicial Clerkship Program (JCP) is a 3 day conference that brings together 70 judges from across the country with minority law students to introduce and reinforce the reasons for perusing a judicial clerkship.  Over the course of conference, students participate in panel discussions, a research and writing exercise, and informal social events. Southwestern will be sending 4-6 students to the conference in February.  Numerous students have obtained externships and clerkships as a result of their attendance.  To learn more about this amazing opportunity, please plan on attending the CSO

Small and mid-size law firms are the largest (and currently most actively hiring) population of employers. Each fall, the Career Services Office recruits firms and brings them on campus for mini-interviews. This event is open to 2Ls, 3Ls, and recent grads. No application is required. Simply bring your resume, dress in business attire, and meet with employers who are looking to hire. The mini-interviews are approximately 7 minutes in length for each student and serve as the gateway to securing a more traditional interview that may result in being hired. Preparation is important to stand out from the crowd.
