Earned benefits remain subject to their originally stated eligibility conditions, expiration dates, and use restrictions.
  • Participants who earn a certificate must matriculate into Southwestern’s J.D. program within 24 months of the date their final 1L Trial Run Program grade is released to use any benefits earned based on their performance in the 1L Trial Run Program. Any benefits earned are personal to the participant, cannot be redeemed for cash or other value, and cannot be transferred to another person or used at another institution.
  • A student who does not achieve the score threshold associated with a particular benefit is not eligible for that benefit. The student forfeits eligibility for the tuition credit, admissions application fee waiver, accelerated admissions application review, summer tuition benefit, and any other program benefit.
  • The tuition credit is equal to the tuition amount actually paid by the student for the 1L Trial Run Program and is applied only to first-term J.D. tuition at Southwestern; the tuition credit may be used only once.
  • The 3-unit summer tuition benefit applies to Southwestern summer J.D. tuition following J.D. matriculation; it is not available before matriculation and does not affect the timing of matriculation or graduation.
  • The Distinction-level accelerated admissions review benefit provides expedited review of a completed J.D. application; it does not guarantee admission and does not modify any substantive admissions standard.
  • A student who withdraws from the 1L Trial Run Program before completing the course forfeits eligibility for all program benefits.
