Professor Lori Meyers has practiced exclusively in fertility law for 28 years, helping thousands of intended parents and surrogates form families through assisted reproductive technologies. She is a Partner of International Fertility Law Group with offices in Los Angeles and New York, and has been a strong advocate for reproductive freedom her entire career. Professor Meyers' role as a reproductive lawyer involves the drafting of surrogacy and egg donation contracts, sperm donor and embryo contracts, as well as obtaining parentage orders in advance of the birth of a child born through surrogacy. She has traveled extensively and spoken internationally to bring information regarding surrogacy to people from all over the world.
Professor Meyers is a Fellow of “Quad A,” the American Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys, as well as a Fellow of “ACAL,” the Academy of California Adoption & ART Lawyers. She serves as ACAL’s Legislative Committee Chair and Co-Chair for the ART/Adoptions Standing Committee for the California FLEXCOM, is a member of the ABE Family Law division and serves as the Legislative Committee Co-Chair, as well as Resolve: The National Infertility Association, SEEDS: Society for Ethical Egg Donation and Surrogacy and ASRM: American Society of Reproductive Medicine.
In her free time, Professor Meyers enjoys travel, cooking for her family, reading, and voraciously attending New York theater productions.
