Professor Tzou has served as a Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Tubi, Inc., an AVOD and FAST streaming service, where she led major studio content acquisitions and distribution deals and mentored the Content Legal attorney team. Prior to Tubi, Professor Tzou served as Senior Director of Business Affairs at MGM Studios, where she led legal and business affairs for MGM’s family brand, LightWorkers, where she led production and distribution deals, including building original short-form creator content for the brand. Before MGM, Professor Tzou served as Senior Counsel at Sony Pictures Entertainment, handling all manner of domestic and international distribution, acquisition and original content deals for feature films and TV series.  

At MTV Networks in NYC, Professor Tzou got her start in-house as Counsel to MTVN’s digital brands, supporting gaming development, on-air merchandising, content distribution, and music streaming services. Professor Tzou launched and blogged for a virtual fashion syndication feed called Style Academy, which featured digital styles and products from the MMORPG Second Life.

Professor Tzou is an award-winning designer for her own fine jewelry brand, Baby Doll Gems, where several of her designs were featured on Sex & The City. Professor Tzou is also a journalist who has written about music, food, fashion, and travel for Entertainment Weekly, Time Out New York, and others. Professor Tzou began her work in entertainment as a Publicity Director for Instinct Records (Moby’s first label) and worked as a DJ in NYC.

Professor Tzou’s real job is being bossed around by her Maltese pup, @SneakerstheMaltese, who wins on Instagram. These days, Professor Tzou’s goals include seeing her golf coach do the “eyebrows raise” whenever she actually manages to hit the ball.
