The Student Bar Association (SBA), to which all students automatically belong, has been recognized several times as "the most outstanding student bar association" in the region and nation by the American Bar Association/Law Student Division. The Association has also been named "SBA of the Year for the Western Region" by the National Student Bar Association.
The primary functions of the SBA are to promote student interests, to provide extracurricular activities for the student body through its own activities and activities of the various Student Organizations, and to encourage community service. The SBA Board of Directors is composed of the elected Executive Board, class representatives, and directors for six different Committees.
Students interested in participating in the Student Bar Association, one of its Committees, or any Student Organization may email the SBA at sba@swlaw.edu. Mailboxes for SBA Officers and each of the Student Organizations can be found in the SBA Office in W232, or you can find contact information for them online (student log-in required).
