The committee shall develop programs, activities and events for Southwestern students and provide them with opportunities to interact with alumni and allow them access to alumni volunteers as mentors and networking contacts. One of the programs for this committee will be to organize and establish a mentoring program for students through the Beiderman Institute.
The committee shall establish and organize social events for the Association to promote involvement with other alumni and the law school. One of the projects for this committee will be the Film-Screening event.
The committee shall screen future members for the Board and for office, present names of nominees to the Board for elections to fill vacancies, and present a slate of officers for election at the Annual Meeting. The Membership Committee shall also enforce policy set forth by the By-Laws of the Association, annually review policy/procedures of the Board, and make recommendations for necessary policy changes to the Board.
Professional Development Committee
The committee shall establish and organize continuing legal education courses, seminars and similar types of programs for the Association to provide educational and career development resources for alumni and law students, and to promote the law school itself.
