The Christian Legal Society (CLS) is part of a national association of lawyers, judges, law school professors, and students with members from every denomination. The national organization includes the CLS Center for Law and Religious Freedom which promotes the free expression of our faith and the Christian Conciliation Service which assists in dispute resolution through arbitration consistent with Christian principles.
Southwestern-CLS is dedicated to the ethical, personal and spiritual development of students of Southwestern. When you join CLS, you become part of an active community of concern that extends to the world.
As a Southwestern-CLS member, you will interact with continuing students who are interested in giving you practical assistance in studying the law... and together we seek to integrate our faith with our legal studies.
Southwestern-CLS plans to have social activities open to all Southwestern students. We also have regular discussions which center on relevant issues and passages of Scripture which address our concerns as students and professionals. Also, come to the meetings to find out about national CLS conferences.
