Public Interest Law

Southwestern recognizes that law students are in the unique position of being able to provide invaluable services to people in need. The law school’s multifaceted Public Interest program encourages students to contribute their time, knowledge, skills and energy through a variety of programs.

Since its founding in 1911, Southwestern has served as an effective and accessible community resource. With the dual goals of enhancing the educational experience of its students and assisting people and public entities in need, the law school encourages public service through a number of avenues (see links to the right).

Southwestern is a member of Equal Justice Works (formerly NAPIL, National Association for Public Interest Law)
