On-Campus Interview Programs
Each year, the Career Services Office conducts both a Fall and Spring On-Campus Interview Program (OCIP). OCIP allows employers to conduct initial screening interviews with upper division students for summer associate/law clerk and attorney positions (Spring OCIP also includes the option to interview first-year students). Southwestern does not charge employers to participate in these programs.
Procedures for OCIP Participation
It's easy as 1-2-3!1. Reserve a Date and Provide Interview Information
An interview date may be scheduled by completing the OCIP Registration Form (links below), or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, or telephoning the Career Services Office at (213) 738-6794. The Career Services Office will send confirmation of these arrangements upon receipt.
2. Select Students for Interviews
Student resumes will be sent to you approximately 10 days before the recruiter’s visit. You can then prescreen the materials and choose which students to interview. The names of students you select (including two or three alternates) should be forwarded to the Career Services Office at least 5 working days prior to the scheduled interview date.
3. Interview on Campus
On the day of the recruiter’s visit to campus, a schedule of interview appointments will be provided, together with copies of the students’ resumes and academic transcripts and/or writing samples (if requested). Complimentary parking and lunch are provided for the recruiter(s).
Legal employers wishing to participate in Southwestern's OCIP should complete our Registration Form:
- Fall OCIP:
Register for Fall OCI
- Spring OCIP:
Register for Spring OCI (Registration opens in October)
If an employer is unable to send a representative to interview on campus, we offer a Resume Collection alternative. The Career Services Office collects and forwards student application material according to the organization's described hiring criteria. If you would like to participate in the Resume Collection component of our OCIP, complete the employer registration form and select the "Resume Collection" option.

By placing a job listing with Southwestern, you are agreeing to comply with the above regulations and all applicable federal and state laws. If for some reason you are unable to do so, please notify us immediately.
