The Residences at 7th
A Living-Learning Village
Southwestern is very pleased to offer brand new, fully furnished, state-of-the-art apartments to our students commencing Fall 2013. The Residences at 7th include 133 units ranging from studios to two bedrooms, and can accommodate 153 or more students, depending on occupancy. Entering students will be given priority for a large percentage of these unique on-campus student residences on a first-come, first-served basis.
This next very exciting phase of Southwestern's campus expansion will further transform what is now a model urban law school campus into an even more inviting environment reminiscent of an inspiring, small liberal arts college setting. The 'living-learning village' created by on-campus housing is a natural extension of the student-centered approach that is the hallmark of Southwestern.
The average size of the 60 studio units is over 425 square feet, just under 500 square feet for the 53 one bedroom units and 800 square feet for the 20 two bedroom units. Rent is projected to range from about $1,380 for studios to $2,600 for the largest two-bedroom apartments.
The units are fully furnished with amenities such as full "Energy Star" kitchens, in-unit washer/dryers and wireless internet access. The facilities feature a state-of-the-art security system, on-site business center, private study rooms, a roof-top sun deck and secured indoor parking for residents, as well as a large landscaped central courtyard and a spacious two-story lobby-lounge, among other features and services.
The level of architectural and interior design reflect the richness of the law school's historic Bullocks Wilshire Building while incorporating state-of-the-art amenities and contemporary finishes, and incorporates current environmental sustainability practices.
