May 2013 Student Housing Construction Update
May saw the completion of the exterior wall finishes and windows, and the last of the scaffolding coming down. The courtyard landscaped areas, planters, fountain and barbeque were roughed in, while flooring, doors, cabinets, counter tops and fixtures were installed in the units. Multiple trades worked side-by-side to complete elevator and stair installations, fire life safety systems, electrical and plumbing fixtures, waterproofing, hallway flooring, plaster and painting, installation of appliances, and demolition and reinstallation of sidewalk and street improvements. The model unit was readied with furniture and decor to showcase the unit's features and space, and tours of the complex with future residents also continued throughout the month.
