Southwestern Professor's New Book Recounts the Life of Famous Hollywood Attorney
Adjunct Professor James Gladstone has written a biography of a famous entertainment lawyer Greg Bautzer, who is best known for representing the richest man in the world - Howard Hughes.
In The Man Who Seduced Hollywood: The Life and Loves of Greg Bautzer, Tinseltown's Most Powerful Lawyer (Chicago Review Press 2013), Professor Gladstone chronicles Bautzer's illustrious legal career and incredible dating life, which included paramours such as Joan Crawford, Ginger Rogers, Lana Turner (engaged), Dorothy Lamour (engaged), Rita Hayworth, Ava Gardner, Peggy Lee, Jane Wyman, Greer Garson, Marlene Dietrich, and literally dozens of others. In fact, the press called him "Hollywood Bachelor Number One."
"Since the book was released, I've been contacted almost every day by lawyers and entertainment professionals thanking me for writing it," Professor Gladstone said. "Not just people who personally knew Bautzer, but also many who wish they had known him and want to apply the secrets of his success to their own careers.
