Professor Harriet M. Rolnick Named SCALE Director

Commencing with the 2006-2007 academic year, Professor Harriet M. Rolnick has been appointed director of the SCALE Program. In his announcement, Dean Bryant G. Garth described her new role as "another example of her great commitment to her alma mater."

Professor Rolnick earned her J.D. from Southwestern in 1979 and returned twenty years later to teach Trial Advocacy as an adjunct professor. Soon thereafter, she joined the full-time faculty, expanding her courses to include Torts; Interviewing, Counseling and Negotiating; and SCALE. A former psychiatric social worker, Professor Rolnick was a litigator in San Francisco and served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California for 14 years.

"As the new Director of SCALE, I take great pleasure in both acknowledging and celebrating the 30th anniversary of our first graduating class and look forward to participating in a very exciting future," said Professor Rolnick.
