Kelly Strader was selected as the Irving D. and Florence Rosenberg Professor of Law; and Professor Alan L. Calnan was selected as the Paul E. Treusch Professor of Law.

Established in 1985, the Buchalter Professorship was named after Irwin R. Buchalter, class of 1933, and was Southwestern's first endowed professorship. Mr. Buchalter was a long-time member and former Chair of our Board of Trustees and senior partner in the firm of Buchalter, Nemer, Fields & Younger. Mr. Buchalter passed away in August of 1994.

The Rosenberg Professorship was established in 1993 through a gift from Mrs. Florence Rosenberg to Southwestern. The late Irving D. Rosenberg was an astute real estate investor in Chicago and Los Angeles. Mrs. Rosenberg passed away in July of 1998.

The Paul E. Treusch Professorship was established in 1998 by Professor Paul and Mrs. Phyllis Treusch as a gift to Southwestern. This professorship represents a commitment by a distinguished member of our faculty to the continuing professional development of his colleagues. It helps ensure that future generations of law students are able to pursue the most interesting ideas, learn from the best faculty, and achieve the highest goals. It provides our faculty with even greater support in their development as highly effective teachers, outstanding scholars, and leaders within the legal profession.
