Patrick Pyle

Patrick Pyle has more than 15 years of experience in nonprofit advancement, with extensive fund raising, marketing, communications, training, and public-community-alumni relations expertise. He began his career as assistant director of the Augusta Opera in Georgia, and in 1991 joined Southwestern's Development Office where he served as assistant director and associate director responsible for creating and managing numerous fund raising programs. As a Wildman Scholar, he went on to complete his law degree through the SCALEĀ® program at Southwestern in 1995, after which he established a general law practice in Beverly Hills. In 1997, he was appointed as the first director of annual giving at the University of California, Riverside, and subsequently was named as the first director of development for the University's College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences. During his tenure there, more than $30 million was raised for the College, including several of the largest gifts in campus history.

Dean Pyle coordinates efforts to expand Southwestern's affiliations and academic exchange programs with other educational institutions, locally and internationally. In his role as general counsel, Dean Pyle handles routine legal matters and coordinates staff and faculty seminars on practices and procedures compliance.
