The Dean of Students and Diversity Affairs Office, housed within the Counseling Center, is responsible for academic counseling and advisement on matters such as course registration, status changes, leaves of absence, probation and academic disqualification. The office oversees attendance, requests for incomplete grades and letters of standing, and any other matters of academic concern with which students desire assistance. Click here for details.
The office is also responsible for accommodations for students with disabilities; works collaboratively with faculty, academic support and various departments to address student needs; sponsors academic advising programs such as Table Days and other events to promote student well-being; and develops other programs and activities to enhance student life on campus.
In addition, the office develops initiatives to promote a campus environment that recognizes, celebrates and values diversity, and coordinates programs and outreach efforts to support the recruitment, retention, personal development and successful academic matriculation of students from varied racial, ethnic, cultural and/or other diverse backgrounds.
