With its blend of historic interiors and modern conveniences, the Leigh H. Taylor Law Library has become an incomparable resource for legal scholarship. Under the direction of a staff of highly knowledgeable and accessible law librarians, the Library features a major print and microform collection of over 525,000 volumes, custom-designed study and research seating for over 600 people, and computer labs with more than 80 workstations accessing a wide range of online services and software applications. Southwestern's Taylor Library demonstrates in the most tangible way how much we value the students and scholars who pass through its doors.
Located in the Bullocks Wilshire Building, one of the most admired and significant Art Deco structures in the world, the library was named in honor of Dean Emeritus Leigh H. Taylor in 2004. Dean Taylor served as dean from 1978 to 2005 and spearheaded Southwestern's purchase, preservation and renovation of the building.
