Among the many advantages of being located in one of the world's major cities is the fact that it attracts so many of the world's most influential people. Southwestern takes full advantage of its position at this crossroads, hosting guest speakers and visitors representing a wide range of perspectives on issues related to the law and current events.
From Supreme Court justices to leaders of emerging African nations, visitors share their world views with students through Law Review and Law Journal symposia, Biederman Institute events, the Treusch Public Service Lecture series, the Faculty Visiting Speakers Series, roundtable discussions, panel presentations and in-class guest lectures - a full calendar of special lunch time or late afternoon lectures and panel presentations in which the views of diverse experts in these fields are presented to students, vastly enriching the educational experience at Southwestern.
