Joint Degree Programs

3+3 B.A./J.D. Program with California State University, Northridge

Southwestern and California State University, Northridge (CSUN) have established a joint, accelerated multiple-degree program through which students can earn both their Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees in six years, rather than the usual seven. Students participating in the 3+3 B.A./J.D Program will have their first year of law school count as the fourth year of their undergraduate education.

J.D./M.A. or B.A./J.D. with California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH)

Southwestern has established two programs in cooperation with California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH): a joint J.D./M.A. Program, and a 3+3 Program through which students can earn their B.A. and J.D. degrees in six years.

  • The Joint J.D./M.A. Program enables graduate students to complete a J.D. degree at Southwestern while concurrently earning an M.A. degree in Negotiation, Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding from CSUDH.
  • The 3+3 B.A./J.D. Program allows selected CSUDH students who meet program requirements to enter law school at Southwestern after completing just three years of undergraduate study at CSUDH.

J.D./M.B.A with The Drucker Graduate School of Management

Southwestern and The Drucker Graduate School of Management, part of Claremont Graduate University (CGU), have established concurrent-degree programs that will expand students' educational and career options. Students at Southwestern and The Drucker School are now be able to earn a J.D. and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.), a J.D. and a Professional Masters of Business Administration (P.M.B.A.) or a J.D. and Executive Master of Business Administration (E.M.B.A.)
