Interviewing, Counseling, & Negotiating in the IT Sector

Description

This hands-on course will train students in how to negotiate agreements and interview and counsel clients. The skills gained in this course are fundamental to the practice of law in general and are invaluable skills for anyone who intends to practice in the information technology (IT) sector. The course will take a detailed look at fact analysis, preliminary litigation planning, and alternative dispute resolution. Students will have the opportunity to negotiate the terms of IT agreements, draft settlement agreements, and prepare advisory correspondence to clients. The grade in this course will be determined through written exercises.
