Greater Los Angeles Consortium on Externships

In 1993, six Los Angeles area ABA-accredited law schools formed a consortium, the Greater Los Angeles Consortium of Externships (GLACE). In 2005, Chapman Law School was added as a member school of GLACE. The purpose of the consortium is to share externship-related information and to develop joint standards for the field supervision of externs by field supervisors. This GLACE-endorsed field supervision manual incorporates those standards and highlights common workplace issues that are often of interest to students and supervisors. Your participation in our program as a supervising judicial officer/attorney and educator is most valuable to our Externship Program. We hope the Manual will be helpful in your supervision efforts.
