Correctional Education

Description

This course is for any student with an interest in the criminal justice system, including in the role of prosecutor, defense attorney, judicial officer, legislator, or administrator.  The course will focus on education as part of incarceration - i.e., correctional education.  It will feature a number of speakers with expertise in various aspects of corrections.  The course will also include visits to the L.A. County Sheriff Department (which will require a background check), as well as the Delancey Street Foundation facility in Los Angeles, a model residential facility.
