International externships place students with organizations outside of the United States or within the United States but with an international focus. Examples of international placements include the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (in Washington, D.C.) and the United States Mission to the European Union (in Brussels, Belgium). The range of projects varies based on the particular placement.
The field placement is complimented by an academic component, which is primarily administered online.
Please note: In order to enroll in this course, students must timely apply through the Externship Program and obtain the approval of the Externship Office. For specific details, please see the Externship Policies & Guidelines, available in the Externship Office (W231) or online.
