Arts and Cultural Policy (Drucker)

Description

Cultural policy shapes government and private support of the arts and culture as well as impacts a broad array of other areas and issues such as public education, artist rights, and economic development. This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of the importance of cultural policy and the many ways it influences cultural production and consumption in the United States. The specific emphasis of the course is on how cultural policy is developed and implemented at the local government level. This course is offered through the Claremont Graduate University Drucker Graduate School of Management.
