Description

This course provides an overview of the nature of the International Tribunal for war crimes in Bosnia and Rwanda and the implementation of a Permanent International Criminal Court. The course also examines matters relating to jurisdiction, immunity from prosecution, mutual assistance in penal matters, recognition and enforcement of foreign penal laws, and international police cooperation. Analysis of selected offenses such as war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide, terrorism, torture, drug trafficking, and money laundering is also conducted.
